Many of these cookers also often reheating or warming function to keep food warm over a long period.

If you’re having guests over and want to keep the soup warm for hours, just pour it into a multi cooker and keep it warm – it’s that simple.

We’ve chosen three of my favorite multi cooker models on the market to review. Each model has its own benefits and is slightly different in function. We’re going to look at each model so that you know which model is the right choice for you.

1. KitchenAid KMC4241SS Multi-Cooker

KitchenAid is a leader in the multi cooker industry – and kitchen appliance industry in general. The KMC4241SS is robust and feature-rich. This multi-cooker comes in three unique colors: red, black and stainless steel.

When you turn this unit on, you’ll find that it’s filled with great features:

  • 10 cooking methods
  • 4-quart cooking pot
  • Pour spout
  • Dual purpose steam basket
  • Roasting rack
  • Soft grip handle
  • Glass lid
  • 4 modes
  • Even heat dispersion technology
  • 12-hour timer
  • Keep warm option

When turning on this multi cooker for the first time, you’ll find that it has 10 programmability settings to make cooking easy. You can pick from:

  • Sear
  • Saute
  • Simmer
  • Soup
  • Boil / steam
  • Slow cook (high / low)
  • Keep warm
  • Yogurt
  • Risotto
  • Rice

The warm function allows for up to 24 hours of food warming. You can also use the steam rack and roasting rack for dual purpose function. The clear glass lid keeps heat inside, and the inside is nonstick for easy cleanup.

Temperature ranges from 110F – 450F with a 12-hour timer. A digital display guides users through cooking.

  • Warming function keeps food warm for 24 hours
  • Long timer (12 hours) allows for set-and-forget cooking
  • Manual control options for customized recipes

  • Inside liner scratches easily

KitchenAid offers a robust, durable multi cooker that’s powerful and precise. The best multi cooker in my opinion. Despite the small scratches to the interior liner, this multi cooker works well and maintains precise temperatures effortlessly.

2. Fagor 670041960 LUX Multi Cooker

Fagor offers a LUX multi cooker that also comes in three colors: silver, champagne and copper. Users can switch into pressure cooker mode or cook on low or high heat for up to 10 hours without checking on their food every 20 minutes.

And this model will keep food warm for up to 12 hours.

You can also set a timer delay to begin dinner while you’re at work. Just add the ingredients, set the delay timer and go.

  • 12-hour warming function
  • 6-hour time delay function
  • 99-minute pressure cooking (high and low)
  • 10 -hour slow cooking
  • Removable ceramic pot
  • Dishwasher safe design
  • 8-quart interior pot

Fagor made this multi cooker with the inexperienced chef in mind. It’s easy to setup, and there is a 12-hour warming function to keep food warm well after it’s finished. An 8-quart interior allows you to pack a lot of food inside of the multi cooker.

There’s setting to make yogurt, rice and even simmer, brown, sauté, steam and more.

You’ll find an array of settings to refine the way you cook. If you want to steam vegetables, switch to the steam function to preserve the nutrients and taste. Or you can sauté your food in the pot and then switch to a different mode to finish cooking.

It’s versatile, and you’ll find yourself making meals you never thought were possible at your skill level.

  • Acts as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker and yogurt maker
  • Offers functions for brow, sauté, simmer, steam, keep warm and time delay
  • Time delay allows for food to cook even when you’re not home

  • Pressure cooking time is limited to 99 minutes

The only downside of the Fagor is that the pressure cooking limit is 99 minutes, so you’re limited on how long you can pressure cook. And the pressure is not 15 pounds, so it takes a little longer to pressure cook.

But it’s a small complaint and one that’s easy to ignore with timers and delay.

This is a great multi cooker if you want versatility and a timer delay (a priceless function).

3. Philips HD3095/87 Electric Multi-Cooker

The Philips HD3095/97 is the last model on our list, but it’s one of the best. This electric multi cooker comes in a steel and white color, and it’s often low on stock because it’s so well rated by consumers.

When you choose this Philips’ model, you’ll enjoy powerful functions and features.

  • 10 function modes (stew/soup, yogurt, bake/roast, risotto, oatmeal, slow cook, boil/steam, rice/quinoa, brown/sauté and keep warm)
  • Smart heating technology
  • Nonstick inner lining
  • 35 included recipes
  • One-touch cooking
  • 5-liter capacity
  • Preset timer
  • Manual temperature control option

Well-made, this is a versatile multi cooker that can be used daily without worry. The interior has five layers to keep heat inside of the cooker, and the even heat technology ensures that food is cooked evenly.

One-touch function enables the unit to be prepped and begin cooking quickly.

Manual temperature settings are possible, and there are function modes (a neat recipe guide, too) that allow you to cook items just as the manufacturer recommends.

  • 10 feature settings make cooking easy for everyone
  • Keep warm feature initiates when the food is finished cooking for 12 hours
  • Easy to clean with a nonstick interior

  • Takes a few days to learn all the features

Feature overload makes it difficult for users to operate this appliance initially. Make sure to read the manual or give yourself some time to learn how to use this model beforehand.

But with a robust feature set, it’s common for users to get confused when trying to cook on their multi cooker the first time.

The features are what make this machine special. Preset timers and manual temperature control add to the usability of the appliance. Users can choose to let the unit cook their food, and when it’s done, the unit will switch to warming mode to keep the food warm – it’s a feature we love.

Last Words On Multi Cookers

Multi cookers deserve a place in every kitchen. The ability to make a variety of foods using steam, pressure cooking and a multitude of other functions make the multi cooker a must-have appliance.

And since it’s a set-and-forget system, it’s easy to cook with a multi cooker with little-to-no experience.
